How To be 100% Sure of Heaven
The Bible tells us in I John 5:12, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life...” The simple truth is God wants you to know where you're going!What does it mean to be “born again”? When God created Adam, He created him with a body, soul and spirit. The body of man is temporary and will one day die and be buried. The soul of man is eternal and will live forever in either heaven or hell. The spirit of man is that part of man’s being that is capable of communicating with God. When Adam sinned, he died spiritually and passed his “lost” condition along to the rest of mankind. The ONLY way to overcome spiritual death is by receiving Christ as our personal Savior. This can be done by believing 4 simple truths:
(1) You are a sinner. “There is none righteous, no, not one:” (Romans 3:10)
(2) God has placed a penalty on all sin. “For the wages of sin is death;” (Romans 6:23a)
(3) Jesus paid your sin debt when He was crucified. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
(4) You must be willing to accept Him as your Savior. “ For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
If you've never asked Jesus Christ to be your personal Savior, you could do that right now! With Him in your heart, life will make a lot more sense. You could stop right now and sincerely pray something like this:
"Lord Jesus, I believe that You are God, that You died for my sin, and that You rose again from the dead. I know that I am a sinner, and I ask You now to be my personal Savior. I'm placing my full trust in You alone, and I now accept Your gift of eternal life. Thank you for keeping Your promise! Amen."
